Insurance and Billing

At Northside Gastroenterology, we accept most major insurance companies. Please bring all insurance cards with you to every appointment. We are happy to file with your insurance, but remember that your co-pay is due at the time services are rendered. We request that you contact your insurance company to obtain benefits for services. If your insurance company requires a referral, you must obtain one prior to your visit. Please notify us if you have any insurance changes as this may affect your coverage. Also, please understand that, in the end, it is your responsibility to know what your plan covers and which networks provide the most benefits.

St. Vincent Clinic Patients are expected to pay his/her percentage the date of his/her office appointment. If having a procedure, a $20.00 pre-pay will be paid before scheduling and the remaining will be billed after the date of service.

Self-Pay Patients are expected to pay in full at the time of service. Please contact our office with payment questions. If any more information is needed, the pre-certification department will contact you.

If you have questions regarding insurance prior to your appointment or procedure, please call our pre-certification department directly at (317) 871-7310.

The Cost of Your Procedure

Because you are responsible for costs for covered healthcare services until you reach your deductible, you should comparison shop if you elect to have a nonemergency procedure.

You can use tools like Healthcare Bluebook and the Medicare Procedure Price Lookup (for Medicare patients).  Many health insurance websites also provide information on where to find in-network services.
