Samantha Vanderlaan M.S.P.A.C., PA-C grew up in Carmel, IN before attending Purdue University where she received her undergraduate degree. She has been interested in healthcare and medicine since she was a child, she spent several years working in the operating room in the surgical device industry before ultimately deciding to go to PA school. She graduated with her masters from Franklin College and has been a GI physician assistant since becoming a certified PA. She spent several years at a different GI practice in Indianapolis before joining Northside Gastro in 2022.

Outside of work, Samantha is an avid cook and thoroughly enjoys trying and creating new recipes for her friends and family. She is a huge Purdue fan and tries to get back to West Lafayette for football and basketball games as much as possible. She lives in Carmel with her husband.
