About Me

Arthur R. Baluyut, M.D., Ph.D., received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and GI Fellowship at the Indiana University Medical Center. He served as the Chief Fellow of Gastroenterology during his GI fellowship.

His research background includes the basic science of immunology as well as clinical research in GI. His clinical focus encompasses autoimmune diseases of the GI and liver tracts and occult GI bleeding.

He has 20 years of experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. He also performs a variety of procedures such as Single Balloon Small Bowel Enteroscopy, Achalasia therapy, ERCPs for biliary and pancreatic diseases, Barrett’s therapy with dysplasia via Barxx radio frequency ablation and endoscopic mucosal resection.
